Basic Terms and Policies

Overview These terms and policies apply to all services provided by Victoria Louise – Yoga for a healthy pelvis, including 1:1 sessions in Radcliffe-on-Trent, weekly in-person classes, and online courses. By booking or attending classes, purchasing courses, or using our website or communications, you agree to these terms.

Booking and Payment

  • Bookings: Sessions and classes may be booked via the methods specified at the time of offering (online booking system, email, phone, or in person). Bookings are confirmed only after payment is received where payment is required at the time of booking.

  • Payment methods: We accept the payment methods listed at checkout. Payment is required in advance for online courses and for block bookings unless other arrangements are made in writing.

  • Pricing: Prices listed are in GBP and include any applicable VAT where indicated. We reserve the right to change prices; changes will not affect confirmed bookings unless otherwise stated.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Individual 1:1 sessions: Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will receive a full refund or can be rescheduled. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance are non-refundable; sessions may be rescheduled at the instructor’s discretion subject to availability.

  • Classes (drop-in and weekly class subscriptions): If you cannot attend a booked class, please notify us in advance. Refunds are not provided for missed classes. Credit or make-up classes for missed sessions may be offered at the instructor’s discretion and subject to space.

  • Block bookings and courses: Refund and transfer policies for blocks and online courses are provided at the time of purchase. Typically, full or partial refunds may be possible within a specified cancellation period; after that period, purchases are non-refundable but transfers or credit may be considered.

  • Cancellations by us: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule sessions or classes due to instructor illness, adverse weather, venue problems, or low enrollment. If we cancel, you will be offered a full refund or an alternative date.

Attendance and Conduct

  • Health and safety: Practitioners must ensure they are in a suitable physical and mental condition to participate. Inform the instructor of any health conditions, injuries, allergies, pregnancy, recent surgery, or medications that could affect participation before the first session and whenever circumstances change.

  • Professional advice: Yoga sessions and information provided are not a substitute for medical advice. If you have concerns about your health, seek guidance from a healthcare professional.

  • Personal belongings: We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings. Please keep valuables with you or do not bring them.

  • Respectful behavior: Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward instructors, other participants, and the venue. Disruptive or abusive behavior may result in removal from a session without refund.

Privacy and Data Protection

  • Personal data: We collect and process personal data necessary to provide services (e.g., contact details, health information disclosed for the purpose of safe practice, payment details). We will handle your data in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

  • Usage: Personal information is used to manage bookings, communicate about services, process payments, and provide tailored instruction as needed.

  • Storage and retention: We retain client records for as long as reasonably necessary for business or legal purposes. If you wish to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, contact us using the details provided at booking or on our website.

  • Communications: By providing contact details you consent to receive necessary communications about your bookings, class changes, marketing messages where you have opted in, and requested information. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.

Intellectual Property

  • Course materials: Written materials, videos, recordings, and other course content are protected by copyright. Materials provided for your use in courses and classes are for personal use only and must not be copied, shared, distributed, or resold without express written permission.

  • Recordings: Recording of in-person classes by participants is not permitted unless prior written permission is given. For online classes, recording policies will be stated at the time of the session.

Liability and Insurance

  • Liability: Participation in yoga classes involves some physical risk. By attending, you accept that Victoria Louise – Yoga for a healthy pelvis and instructors are not liable for injury, loss, or damage unless directly caused by proven negligence. We maintain appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

  • Medical emergencies: In the event of a medical emergency, the instructor may arrange for emergency services to be called. You consent to the instructor taking reasonable actions to provide assistance.

Special Needs and Accessibility

  • Accessibility: We aim to make classes accessible and inclusive. Please inform us in advance of any accessibility needs so we can make reasonable adjustments.
